FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: device for reproducing stereoscopic video images contains two sources of flat video image, optically connected by means of transparent plate with possible production of useful passed and reflected light streams and observation of video images of sources in the same plane, polarizer, positioned in front of flat video image source, meant for producing passed light stream with its possible polarization of the plane of falling onto plate, and goggles with analyzers. Video image sources are positioned relatively to plate with possible provision of light stream falling on it from each source at Bruster angle αBr. Device additionally contains flat mirror with frontal reflecting surface, positioned in front of flat video image source, meant for producing reflected light beam, in parallel to transparent plate. Sources of flat video images are positioned with possible production of video image in parallel planes, distance between which and distance x between planes, perpendicular to planes of video images and passing through their centers, are selected from following ratios: x=2b·sinαBr, y=2b·cosαBr, where b - distance between plate and mirror. As sources of flat video image, displays with cathode-ray tubes are selected, transparent plate is made of glass and has anti-flare cover on back surface.

EFFECT: increased quality of reproduced stereoscopic image.
