FIELD: stereoscopic video equipment, namely, auto-stereoscopic devices (without goggles), possible use for producing a volumetric image on screen of tele-video-system.

SUBSTANCE: device features a selector of angles, made in form of optical modulator with two areas in form of semi-planes (or more complex semi-surfaces), having common boundary, which is made with possible parallel shift along direction of binocular parallax in observed stereo image. First and second areas of optical modulator are characterized by complementary characteristics of optical condition of working substance, which may be complementarily commutated in time. Sensor for indicating position of observation zones (observer eyes) ensures shifting of common boundary in correspondence with change of position of observation zones, providing for separate observation of left and right angles of displayed three-dimensional scene.

EFFECT: improved spatial resolution and color rendering of stereo image.
