FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed bipolar electrochemical battery has stack of at least two series-connected galvanic cells; each of the latter has first electricity-conducting layer structure incorporating first internal metal layer and first external polymeric layer provided with at least one through hole giving access to first metal layer; first electricity conducting layer structure is in electric contact with negative-plate external surface; it also has second electricity-conducting layer structure incorporating second internal metal layer and second external polymeric layer; the latter has at least one through hole providing access to second metal layer; second electricity-conducting layer structure is in electric contact with positive-plate external surface; first and second layer structures are tightly joined together over periphery to form enclosed space accommodating positive plate, negative plate, separator, and electrolyte.
EFFECT: improved power characteristics, enhanced stability and operating efficiency.
