CONTROL OF CHARGING MULTIPLE-CELL ACCUMULATOR BATTERY Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC H01M10/34 H01M10/44

Abstract RU 2364012 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to accumulator batteries with plate cells. According to the invention, the battery has a packet of bipolar plate galvanic cells. Each galvanic cell has a section which can expand if pressure increases. Such a section can be superposed with the corresponding section of at least one neighbouring galvanic cell. The invention also has a trigger mechanism, which can react on the force created by pressure arising in the galvanic cell in the packet of bipolar cells. Invented also is a method and device for controlling battery charging.

EFFECT: reliable method of controlling charging of multiple-cell battery.
