FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: dust-separating apparatus is adapted for separating of dust from air without filter and cyclone by providing periodical "collision" of air and dust particles transported by air with surfaces upon passage of air through dust-separating apparatus. Dust-separating apparatus has air inlet channel provided in upper surface of dust-separating apparatus, tubular inlet member communicating with air inlet channel which directs dust-laden air downward, into dust separating apparatus, and which has end open immediately above surface of dust-separating apparatus, where dust particles collide with bottom surface. Air inlet channel is defined within side wall of dust-separating apparatus. One or more guiding members provided within dust separating apparatus prevent dust from passing upward and define surfaces against which air-transported dust particles collide. Caught dust is accumulated within detachable dust catcher.
EFFECT: simplified construction and wider operational capabilities by providing variable inner diameter of apparatus.
