FIELD: chemistry of polymers, covers, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing polyurethane compositions based on alkyd oligomers and diisocyanates used in protective covers on metal, wood and concrete. The polymeric composition for covers comprises modified uralkyd resin, siccative, antioxidant and an organic solvent. Method involves using uralkyd resin of the molecular mass 6900-12100 Da modified with secondary aliphatic amine, primary alcohol and water as a modified uralkyd resin wherein the proposed uralkyd resin comprises the following components, %: urethane groups, 11.2-12.1; carbamide groups, 0.40-0.81, and biuret groups, 0.37-0.79. Xylene or white spirit or their mixture taken in the mass ratio = 1:1 are used as an organic solvent. Invention provides preparing polymeric covers showing good color indices, high volume microhardness, wear resistance and strength properties and proposed covers are able to be hardened with high velocities at temperature 20 ± 2°C.
