FIELD: metallurgy; processing metallurgical slags.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in magnetic separation of each fraction of slag performed separately, thus obtaining conditioned metal, intermediate product, and pure slag. Magnetic separation of slag fraction more than 5 mm is carried out in magnetic field at intensity of 110-250 kA/m at linear velocity of material being separated in magnetic field of 0.5-1.2 m/s and slag fraction lesser than 5 mm is subjected to pneumatic classification according to class minus 0.2-0.3 mm before magnetic separation and dedusted material is separated in magnetic field at intensity of 85-110 kA/m and frequency of 12-28 Hz at linear velocity of material in magnetic field of 1.2-2.8 m/s; intermediate product obtained at magnetic separation of each fraction of slag is subjected to selective crushing and is directed for repeated magnetic separation. Separation products in accordance with fan of separation formed during motion of slag in magnetic field are directed to separate reservoirs by means of adjustable slide valves.
EFFECT: reduced losses of metal; improved quality of magnetic product and slag.
