FIELD: oil and gas production, particularly drilling rods or pipes, flexible drill strings, kellies, drill collars, sucker rods, casings and tubings.

SUBSTANCE: plant comprises pressure-testing device, which performs pressure testing of threaded connections, pressure-testing agent supply and discharge system provided with pressure control means to control pressure in test chamber and installation means, which install above device in threaded casing pipe connection area. Pressure-testing device comprises hollow cylindrical body with hollow cylindrical member coaxially arranged in the body and defines the test chamber as pressure-testing device has been installed in threaded connection area. Longitudinal through slot is formed in the hollow cylindrical body. Longitudinal through slot width provides casing pipe passage in threaded connection area. Hollow cylindrical member may be split in vertical plane and includes two reciprocating dies. Hollow cylindrical member has inner grooves formed in lower and upper parts thereof and adapted to receive annular rubber sealing means. Hollow body comprises packing means, which provide test chamber air-tightness. The packing means includes two diametrically opposite hydraulic cylinders installed in central part of hollow cylindrical body. Each hydraulic cylinder has two taps with hydraulic drives and piston with rod fixedly connected to cylindrical member die. Means to install pressure-testing device has rail track and carriage. Rail track includes two guiding means consisted of two paired channel bars. Wall of inner channel bar has longitudinal through slot. Carriage is made as frame with pressure-testing device mounted on the frame. The frame is fastened to drive shaft and axle, which are transversal to longitudinal through slots. The drive shaft and the axle are provided with wheels connected to ends thereof. Each wheel is in cavity defined by paired channel bar. Shorted alternate-current motor is installed in the frame. The shorted alternate-current motor has high-frequency torque converter linked to drive shaft by means of chain gear.

EFFECT: increased structural reliability, decreased pressure-testing time and improved safety.
