FIELD: heat power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to monitor salt content in feed water of steam turbine boilers. In proposed method of operation of thermal powder station according to which steam generated in boiler is directed to turbine and is condensed in condenser, main condensate of turbines and condensate of other heaters in which water of hardness exceeding normal hardness of feed water for boiler is used as heating or heated medium, is delivered into boiler feed water duct, and then main condensate is delivered by condensate pumps into boiler feed water deaerator. Conductometers are used to locate places of inflow in feed water duct whose pickups measured level of hardness in condensate of heat exchangers in which water of hardness exceeding normal hardness of boiler feed water is used as heated or cooled medium, and places of inflow are determined by absolute values of readings of conductometer pickups and by difference in said readings.
EFFECT: increased economy and improved reliability of thermal power station.
