FIELD: cone or gyration crushers, in particular, technology for monitoring sliding bearings of cone or gyration crusher, by means of which occurring failure of bearings may be detected at early stage when it is possible to prevent significant damage to bearings and other parts.

SUBSTANCE: method for controlling condition of bearings in cone crusher and for decreasing damages caused by damaged bearing, includes monitoring friction forces between supporting surfaces in crusher by means of sensor (in particular, piezoelectric sensor, force sensor, mechanical, hydraulic or strain gauge transformer). Information, received as a result of monitoring of friction force, performed by means of sensor means, is used in system for warning about danger or for controlling the crusher. Friction force between supporting surfaces is monitored by means of sensor, built into guide of controlling piston. Also proposed is cone crusher, which contains at least one sensor (in particular, piezoelectric sensor, force sensor, mechanical, hydraulic or strain gauge transformer), which forms output signal, related to friction force between supporting surfaces of crusher. Sensor is built into guide of controlling piston. Crusher is a gyration crusher.

EFFECT: detection of increased friction forces on supporting surfaces.
