SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a crusher, a crushing plant and a method of operating a thrust bearing of a crusher. Crusher 105 comprises rotatable eccentric 6, 6', main shaft 7, supported by the eccentric, piston 3 for adjusting the vertical position of the main shaft, and axial thrust bearing 8 arranged between the lower end of the main shaft and the piston. Thrust bearing has upper bearing 9 attached to the lower end of the main shaft, lower bearing 11 attached to the piston, and pressure plate 10 arranged between the upper bearing and the lower bearing. Circular groove 13, 113 or protrusion 10', 110 is formed on pressure plate 10. In the crusher, releasing member 20 is attached to a crusher structure outside of pressure plate 10. Releasing member has circular edge 21, 31 directed towards the pressure plate. Part of the edge is arranged in said groove or above the part of the protrusion. Releasing member 20 is attached to piston 3.

EFFECT: design of the thrust bearing prevents its breakdown during operation of the crusher, prolongs the service life of the crushing plant.
