FIELD: heat power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: heater comprises rotor made of water-absorbing metal or alloy and stator whose space made of a ring toroid. The axis of the rotor is directed along the axis of symmetry of the toroid. The periphery of the rotor is provided with one or several rows of teeth and/or blades that enters the space of the toroid through the cut provided in it and is closed from both sides by means of walls or lids that define common internal space of the rotor and toroid. During operation of the heater, the rotation of the rotor causes the formation of a ring toroidal vortex of fluid to be heated inside the space of the stator in order to generate near-wall and bulk cavitation.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
