FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be utilized for generation of thermal energy by organization of cavitation as well as electric and electromagnetic processes in liquid which enable supplied energy to be converted to thermal energy with minimized usage of mechanical energy. At least one disc which surface faces body surface located in opposition is put on periphery of impeller in cavitation converter to form flow slit-ring conduit of variable cross-section tangentially eminating into vortex-forming element coming in the form of torus-shaped vortex forming body conduit which whirls liquid flow and communicates with one recirculation conduit as minimum. EFFECT: reduced cavitation wear of working elements. 6 cl, 6 dwg
