FIELD: textile engineering, in particular, equipment used in spinning machines.
SUBSTANCE: back rest for spinning machine has tubular member mounted on bed frame and supporting member fixed to tubular member, said members being positioned along width of spinning machine. Tubular member is positioned on outside of machine and supporting member is made in the form of curved flexible plate facing with its convex part inward of spinning machine. Multiple-layer cylindrical enclosure is put onto back rest apparatus, with inner layer of enclosure being made of anti-friction material and outer layer being made of friction material. Supporting member contacts with one or several flat springs at site where it is attached to tubular member facing inward of spinning machine. Area of flat spring portions contacting with supporting member and with each other may be adjusted. Tubular member has rigidly fixed outside annular guides arranged along width of cylindrical enclosure in planes perpendicular to axis of tubular member. Annular guides are arranged so that their position through the width of spinning machine may be adjusted.
EFFECT: increased efficiency through maintaining constant flexibility of back rest during the entire spinning process and reduced abrasion wear and tendency to electrolysis of threads and back rest apparatus.
