FIELD: tests of armament, applicable in development of armament systems with guided missiles and projectiles.
SUBSTANCE: the method for range tests provides for disposition of the simulated target behind the boundaries of the visible horizon in a point with preset coordinates and placing of the control system at a height ensuring the line of sight of the simulated target. Aiming at the simulated target is accomplished by matching of the marker reticle of the control system with the center of the image of the simulated target, after that the control system is changed over to the condition of automatic guidance of the simulated target. The data transmitted by the control system are recorded and processed. The test range system ensures realization of the method for tests.
EFFECT: reduced cost of the range tests, provided estimation of the influence of noise at real launches with simulation of the system disposition on the carrier, provided safety of tests.
