FIELD: ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: the cartridge has a steel cartridge case with a bullet placed in it, primer cap and a powder charge. A layer of brass, 3 to 5μm thick, with a content by mass of copper within 64 to 71 per cent, zinc-within 28 to 35 per cent, the rest-admixtures is applied by the electrochemical method on the outside and inside surfaces with a finally formed geometry of the cartridge case.
EFFECT: prevented wedging of the cartridge case in the cartridge chamber, reduced probability of break-away of the bottom of the cartridge case from its body.
