FIELD: weapon and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: small arms cartridge consists of an encapsulated shell with powder charge and a bullet. Protective layers from one type of metal with the thickness 3-6 mcm and with the hardness 2.5 GPa maximum are applied on the external bimetallic surface of the bullet and on steel external and internal surfaces of the shell prior to their assembly using the electrolytic method.
EFFECT: decrease of wear of the weapon barrel channel.
