DEVICE FOR MEASURING ELECTRO-CONDUCTIVITY OF LIQUID SUBSTANCES Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G01N27/02

Abstract RU 2299426 C1

FIELD: measuring equipment, possible use for physical and chemical analysis of properties of materials on basis of their specific electric conductivity, and also for controlling condition of liquid or mash-like technological substances of chemical industries.

SUBSTANCE: device for measuring electric conductivity of liquid substances contains high frequency amplifier, measuring and compensating windings, each one of which is positioned on separate core, controlled element, first output of which is connected to output of compensating winding, and control input - to first output of control block. Each core is provided with additional measuring and compensating windings. Introduced into device are commutator, first and second outputs of which are connected to outputs of additional measuring winding, while third and fourth outputs are connected to first and second outputs of high frequency amplifier, and also to outputs of first measuring winding and third and fourth outputs of element being controlled, second output of which is connected to output of additional compensation winding, second output of which is connected to second output of compensation winding. Device also contains amplitude meter, first input of which is connected to third output of high frequency amplifier, while second and third inputs are connected respectively to second and third outputs of control block, while first and second outputs of amplitude meter are connected to first and second outputs of control block, and fourth output of control block is connected to commutator input.

EFFECT: increased precision when measuring electric conductivity of liquid substances due to decreased error, resulting from changing electric parameters of measuring windings under effect from electric conductivity of liquid substances by creating compensating influence on both measuring windings, of equal absolute value, but of opposite direction relatively to influence of electric conductivity of liquid substances on measuring windings.
