FIELD: microbiology, medicine, in particular investigation of bacterial enzymatic activity and endopathogenesis of allergic and autoimmune diseases.

SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes bacterium culturing by using of broth samples non-enriched with histidine and enriched wherewith in amount of 10-300 mug/ml followed by reaction with diazotized nitroaniline and determination of presence, level, and optimum of bacterial histidine decarboxylase activity based on determination of reaction product amount obtained by reaction of histamine with diazotized nitroaniline in broth samples. Optionally claimed method includes sequential removing of impurities hindering of histamine determination in broth samples; reaction with diazotized nitroaniline or o-phthalic aldehyde followed by determination of presence, level, and optimum of bacterial histidine decarboxylase activity based on determination of reaction product amount obtained by reaction of histamine with diazotized nitroaniline or o-phthalic aldehyde.
