FIELD: equipment for separation and catching of dust and foreign matter from air flow using gravitational or centrifugal force, in particular, vacuum cleaners used in industrial enterprises.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has casing with wall defined by cylindrical surface, cover, slit-type nozzle designed for introducing of air flow containing dust and foreign matter and positioned in upper part of casing, tangentially to inner cylindrical surface of casing, and shell for separating space near casing wall from space within central part of casing, with height of shell extending from casing cover to the level below lower edge of slit-type nozzle. Discharge branch pipe in central part of casing cover is communicating with air discharge device. Hopper located in lower part of casing is adapted for collecting of dust and garbage. Casing wall has steps, with cross section of casing wall rearward of step rib having semi-circular section and casing wall segment extending from step slot to rib of subsequent step having continuous profile of cross section. Filter located rearward of discharge branch pipe is adapted for additional cleaning of air from dust.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in cleaning of air flow from finely dispersed dust and large-sized particles.
