FIELD: lifesaving equipment; man-overboard detection systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system includes life jacket and receiver mounted on monitoring station. Life jacket has two light sources, two transmitters with transmitting antennae and power source. Each transmitter is provided with master oscillator 62, n-tap delay line 63.i (i=1, 2, ....,n), phase inverters 64.j (j= 1, 2,..., m), adder 65 and power amplifier 66. Receiver has three receiving antennae. Three high-frequency amplifiers, three mixers, two heterodynes, five multipliers, four narrow-band filters, three intermediate frequency amplifiers, four threshold units, six switches, two phase meters, recording unit and low-pass filter.
EFFECT: extended functional capabilities; enhanced reliability of detection of man overboard.
