FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rescue means and may be used for detecting people in distress in sea. Proposed system includes life vest fitted on person and provided with light source 1, transmitters 19, 20 with transmitting antennas 21, 22, respectively, and receiver arranged at control station. Every transmitter 19, 20 comprises master oscillator, n-tap delay line, phase inverters, adder, power amplifier and transmitting antenna 21, 22. Receiver arranged at control station comprises five receiving antennas, five high-frequency amplifiers, five mixers, two local oscillators, five intermediate-frequency amplifiers, seven multiplexers, six narrow-band filters, and four correlators. It includes also four threshold units, six switches, registration unit, low-frequency filter, four phase meters, two subtractors and two adders.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of direction-finding.
