FIELD: invention relates to a method for determination of biological activity of peat humic acids that can be used in different branches of technique, medicine and veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: method involves addition of alkaline of pyrophosphate extract of peat humic acids to blood sample to be analyzed in the ratio = (6-10):1. Then photometric determination of optical density of a mixture of blood with peat humic acids is carried out under effect of mechanical oscillation in the sound range of frequencies from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and the amplitude value from 0.1 to 1.0 mcm generated by piezoelectric element. Based on change of the optical density value of analyzed sample indices of reversible aggregation of erythrocytes are determined that are used for calculation of the aggregation index I = Ud/τ, and biological activity of humic acids are determined by value of the aggregation calculated index I and integral aggregation index K as compared with control value. Proposed method excludes complex procedures associated with preparing a sample for analysis. One measurement requires 7-10 min, and determination is carried out using blood microvolumes, for example, 1 ml of blood is sufficient for carrying out above 20 measurements. Method shows informative feature that allows its using as a procedure for testing biological activity of humic acids.
