FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves magnetic resonance tomography examination with Mueller technique being applied. Soft tissue oropharyngeal structures obstruction degree is determined at velo- and hypopharyngeal level in inhaling with closed mouth and nose holding breath single time to 15 s long. Soft tissue collapse degree being equal to 0-100% at velopharyngeal level and 0-25% at hypopharyngeal level, laser-mediated uvuloplasty is considered to be expedient.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in estimating in several planes obstruction level and collapse degree in single step.
