FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, urology, and can be used for detecting strictures and obliteration of urethra, their localisation, extension, expression, as well as pathological changes of surrounding tissues. MRT of said area is performed, area of scanning is selected in sagittal projection 15-20 mm thick, in such a way that it passes through urethra along entire region from urinary bladder neck to meatus. Dynamic hybrid spin-echo and gradient-echo pulse sequence is started with simultaneous introduction of 60 ml of sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution into urethra with rate 0.1 ml/sec until it enters urinary bladder. Examination is continued with increase of introduction rate to 0.3 ml/sec until all volume of liquid is introduced, with obtaining a series of cuts at one anatomical level. After that, three-dimensional MR-urethrography is carried out, dynamic hybrid spin-echo pulse sequence is repeated with voiding discharge of liquid out by urethra.

EFFECT: method ensures accuracy of determining localisation, extension, expression of strictures, obliteration of urethra, elastic properties of surrounding tissues, spread of fibrous changes, volume, character of planned operation, selection of optimal treatment tactics, estimation of efficiency of performed surgery.
