FIELD: metallurgy industry; arc furnaces with the oriel tapping and the methods of such arc furnaces operation.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of metallurgy. The arc furnace (1) is motionless or has the possibility of inclination for the melt or scoria tapping and has the eccentric tapping or the eccentric and central tapping (9, 12). The tapping (9) is arranged in the separately made oriel tapping window (6), which sides with the wall (4) of the lower part of the arc furnace housing (2). There is one tapping outlet (5) linking the arc furnace bosh (2а) and the oriel tapping (6), which passes through the wall (4). The tapping hole (9а) of the tapping outlet (9) in the oriel tapping (6) in its initial position (11), that is in the horizontal position of the arc furnace (1) passes vertically transits upright, and the tapping channel (5) passes through the wall (4) essentially along the tangential line to the lining profile (10). At usage of the invention the operational properties of the arc furnace are improved.
EFFECT: the invention ensures the improved operational properties of the arc furnace.
