FIELD: production of refractory and ceramic materials used for continuous teeming of steel and in furnace refractory materials.
SUBSTANCE: proposed high-alumina binding suspension contains the following components, mass-%: electrically molten corundum, 56.95-78.49; molten quartz, 20-40; graphite, 1.0-2.0; ethyl silicate,0.01-0.05; orthophosphoric acid, 0.5-1.0. Compressive strength is increased to 500 Mpa; thermal stability (1000°C-water) is increased to 13 cycles.
EFFECT: enhanced compressive strength and thermal stability; avoidance of peeling of castings.
