FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining integrated myocardial ischemia parameter, prior to applying treatment, using formula IMII = Σt*ST*10, where IMII is the integrated myocardial ischemia parameter, in units, t is the ischemia episode duration, in min, ST is the measure of ST segment reduction during given ischemia episode, in mW. Then, the whole day long electrocardiogram monitoring is carried out after three weeks of anti-hypertension therapy and integrated myocardial ischemia parameter is determined. The integrated myocardial ischemia parameter value prior to the beginning of treatment being greater than that after treatment, therapy effectiveness is regarded as satisfactory. The value being equal or smaller, than that after treatment, the therapy is considered to be unsatisfactory.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in detecting anti-hypertension therapy influence upon functional condition of myocardium.
