FIELD: multicharge firing devices that have no cartridge chamber, applicable as a means of self-defense both by security agemies and by citizens.

SUBSTANCE: the firing device has a body with a magazine in which a spring-loaded cartridge feed mechanism is installed, cross-shaped rotary member, ratchet-wheel with teeth, spring-loaded ratchet-and-pawl mechanism having a tooth, as well as a firing mechanism with a base. The tooth of the ratchet-and-pawl mechanism is made with an inclined end face engageable with the tooth of the ratchet-wheel, he angle between the end face and the side of the ratchet-and-pawl mechanism facing the ratchet-wheel equals 80 to 89 deg., and the side of the tooth of the ratchet-wheel engageable with tooth of the ratchet-and-pawl mechanism is made with an inside inclination with formation of and acute angle at the tooth point within 75 to 85 deg.

EFFECT: provided reliable interception of cartridges at their geed to the line of fire in the process of firing, preventing the ejection of unfired cartridges after the fired ones.
