FIELD: metallurgy, namely structure of tubular mold with water guiding envelope.
SUBSTANCE: wall 2 of mold tube has inner contour 3 in the form of hollow beam with rounded transitions 6 between flange zone 7 at one side and wall portions 9 restricting bridge zone 8 at other side. Inner contour 3 is indirectly cooled by means of cooling fluid fed outside. Cooling ducts 4 passing in lengthwise direction are formed in wall 2 of tube. Spacing A between two adjacent cooling ducts 4 in transitions 6 is less than spacing B between said ducts in other portions 9 of wall. In other variant cooling ducts are formed only in rounded transitions 13 and all other portions 16 of wall and rounded transitions are cooled through water guiding envelope corresponding to outer contour 17 of tube wall 18.
EFFECT: improved design, increased useful life period of mold, low risk of occurring local overheated zones.
