FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous metal cast. Casting mold contains four in pairs located longitudinal operating walls with cooling channels. Walls of the first pair allowing top section located on-the-mitre to the vertical line, and bottom vertical section, correspond heating area of heat pipe. Cooling zones of heat pipes are implemented in the form of steam condenser of heat carrier. At achieving during the process of casting by walls of the first pair with temperature, equal to t=(0.5-1.5)tboil, where tboil - boiling temperature of heat carrier in walls channels, it is implemented forced cooling of the first pair walls by means of cooling medium supply to cooling zone of heat pipes of the first pair of casting mold walls. Walls of the second pair are implemented in the form of heat pipes.
EFFECT: increasing of cooling efficiency of metal, increasing of metallic yield, blanks improving.
