FIELD: chemical industry; construction materials industry; other industries; production of the vitreous inorganic fibers used as the heat-insulating or sound-proof material.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the vitreous inorganic fiber, which is used as the heat-insulating or sound-proof material. The technical result of the invention is creation of the fiber, which is resistant to the action of the high temperature and is not resistant to the action of the physiological liquids. The operational temperature of the fiber is 1330°С and above. The fiber is produced from the melt, which composition contains more than 71.25 up to 85 mass % of silicon dioxide, up to 20 mass % of magnesium oxide, from 5 up to 28.75 mass % of calcium oxide, from 0 up to 5 mass % of zirconium dioxide, and it may possibly have the viscosity modifier in the amount effective for giving the product the property of the fiberization. The fiber contains the oxides of the alkali metals no more than their trace impurities.
EFFECT: the invention ensures creation of the fiber, which is resistant to the action of the high temperature and is not resistant to the action of the physiological liquids.
