FIELD: buildings for parking cars or like vehicles, particularly garages shaped as a wheel or drum rotatable about a horizontal axis with means for transport in vertical direction only or independently in vertical and horizontal directions.
SUBSTANCE: method for car movement from lifting device platform to storage cell platform aligned with lifting device platform and spaced apart therefrom involves adjusting inclination angles of each platform with respect to horizon line; creating common surface inclined towards platform; moving vehicle with taken-off brakes from upper platform to lower platform along guiding grooves under the action of vehicle gravity. The platforms have V-shaped profiles defined in longitudinal sections thereof. Point of inflection defined in storage cell platform profile is offset from platform center in direction of vehicle to be parked in the cell. Point of inflection defined in lifting device platform profile is in platform center. Gap between the storage cell and lifting device platforms is selected to prevent vehicle braking or vehicle wheel falling in the gap as car crosses the gap.
EFFECT: simplified vehicle parking in multistory park.
