FIELD: welding electrical engineering, namely welding apparatus, possibly used in machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: welding apparatus is made on base of DC voltage-DC voltage converter with intermediate conversion to high frequency AC voltage. Said converter is connected through rectifier to three-phase circuit 380 V/50 Hz. Inlet of ignition unit is connected with one switch of bridge type inverter. Switches of bridge type inverter are controlled by constant-frequency and constant-duty pulses with phase shift whose value is calculated by means of microprocessor with use of output signals of pickups detecting output voltage, output current, integrity of circuit, overheating. Invention provides reliable switching of inverter switches at zero voltage, operation of inverter at maximally admissible switching frequency of switches, absence of noises in supply circuits of control unit.

EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability and efficiency, improved mass and size factors.
