FIELD: machine engineering, possibly finish working by means of free abrasive material of parts such as bodies of revolution having complex profile of outer surface.

SUBSTANCE: parts are immersed into cylindrical chamber with elastic walls filled with abrasive material. Walls of chamber are subjected to action of outer pressure for compacting abrasive material. At working process walls of cylindrical chamber are additionally deformed due to action of local excess pressure at least in three zones of local deformation of wall. In each zone autonomous excess pressure is created by means of ring members with elastic walls. Said members are placed in gap restricted by walls of cylindrical chamber and of housing, on radial steps of housing. In description of invention formula is given for calculating value of outer pressure depending upon pressure acting upon abrasive particles, thickness of elastic wall of chamber, its diameter, elasticity modulus of wall material.

EFFECT: improved accuracy and quality of working due to taking off uniform allowance from worked profile at equalized contact pressure values.
