FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the processing of materials by cutting and can be used in the centrifugal processing of parts with granular working media when grinding, polishing and hardening various products, in particular axial tools, gears, worms, rings, etc. The method includes installing products on mandrels, fixing them on spindles and immersing them in a working medium located in a container with a movable bottom, which is a rotor in the form of a truncated cone. The working medium is compacted by the rotation of the rotor and toroidal-helical movement is transmitted to it, and planetary rotation relative to a stationary container, to the products with spindles. Processing is carried out by cyclic immersion of products in a toroidal-helical flow of the working medium at a speed that is limited by the given condition. A device providing the implementation of the claimed processing method is disclosed.
EFFECT: formation of uniform and stable quality indicators is ensured in various sections of the profile along the length of the processed products or the height of the stacks of parts installed on the mandrels due to the cyclic immersion of products rotating with mandrels in the toroidal-helical flow of the working medium.
