FIELD: shipbuilding; designing the hull lines of ships provided with water-jet propellers and steering nozzles.

SUBSTANCE: ship's hull includes above-water hull and underwater hull with bottom provided with arch-shaped longitudinal channel extending along entire length of hull. Curvilinear sides converging to bow are below the designed waterline. Longitudinal channel is below designed waterline; its generatrices are parallel to CL. Profile of underwater hull section over designed waterline has maximum width at stern. Bottom surfaces are made in form of semi-cones whose vertices lie fore extremity and bases lie in aft extremity of hull. Fixed nozzle of propellers are built in semi-conical forms in aft extremity of underwater hull. According to second version, bottom is provided with two longitudinal arch-shaped channels which are symmetrical relative to CL; these channels extend along entire length of hull; they are located below designed waterline; their generatrices are parallel to CL. Profile of underwater hull section over designed waterline has maximum width in the vicinity of stern. Bottom surfaces are made in form of two semi-cones with vortices in the fore extremity and bases in aft extremity of hull. Fixed nozzles of propellers are built in aft extremity of underwater hull in its semi-conical forms.

EFFECT: improved seaworthiness due to reduction of wave resistance at high running speed of ship; improved propulsive and steering properties.
