FIELD: petrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: alkane is alkylated by olefin or olefin precursor such as tertiary olefin oligomer. Process comprises contacting liquid system containing acid catalyst, isoparaffin and olefin in parallel descending stream in reaction zone with grate-disperser under temperature and pressure conditions promoting reaction between isoparaffin and olefin to form alkylate product. Olefin oligomers are used as olefin source rather than olefin reactants themselves.
EFFECT: increased economical efficiency of the process.
