SUBSTANCE: proposed method used for generating electrical quantities supplied to protective pulse-time relay comparator for AC pieces of equipment involves addition of one of two DC voltages whose values are compared by comparator to additional steady-waveform and steady-frequency periodic AC voltage; DC voltages can be partially or fully presented by linear combination of AC current and voltage supplied to protective time-pulse relay; additional periodic AC voltage incorporates or not DC bias voltage. Proposed method can be used for synthesizing protective time-pulse relay with one or two alternating quantities supplied to relay. This method can be used in particular for synthesizing protective time-pulse relay of DC circuits.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability and precision in environment of distorted sine-waveform quantities supplied to protective relay.
