FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: while generating electric values transmitted to the comparator of the time pulse device for protection and automation of an electrotechnical object whose comparator operates in the two direct current voltages division mode with the second dividend represented by the voltage actuating the comparator nonoperation and the periodic voltage instantaneous value actuating the comparator operation generated based on the first voltage acting as the divider. Information of the ratio of the first voltage to the second one becomes encoded in the form of Δt duration of the pulse of the periodic sequence of rectangular pulses generated at the comparator output. The technique concept consists in obtaining the periodic voltage instantaneous value actuating the comparator operation through multiplying the first dc voltage by the additional periodic ac voltage characterised by stability of waveform and frequency. Provided the first and the second dc voltages are generated adequately the technique enables actualisation of a protection and automation time pulse device capable of estimating resistance of an industrial frequency electrotechnical device in case of short circuit occurring in the latter; it may be realised in a time pulse device for protection and automation of a dc electrotechnical device capable of estimating resistance of the object being protected; other functional purpose device realisation is also possible; it may be used as a time pulse technique of dividing electrical values in analogue computing equipment.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability, accuracy and unambiguousness of the comparator operation in the capacity of an element performing division of electrical values in a protection and automation time pulse device for example - under the conditions of the internal parametres of the equivalent power source the electrotechnical object controlled by the device is connected to undergoing variations.
