FIELD: machine engineering, finish turning of radiuses by grooving cutter.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of finish turning of part at optimal cutting speed with lowered feed; then determining irregularities height of turned surface equal to height of irregularities of cutting blade of cutter and determining optimal feed. In order to provide minimum height of irregularities at maximum efficiency during turning radius of part by means of grooving cutter, optimal feed is determined according to given formula depending upon feed, rake angle of cutter, radius of turned surface and apex radius of cutter.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of method.
