FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises displacement of tool with cutting element with cutting edge relative to the part in direction of main motion and lengthwise tool feed. To up the tool hardness and cutting quality, cutting element blade features angle of sharpening β0=60-90°, cutting blade being fitted in seat to turn through the angle η=30-60° relative to cutting speed vector in the main motion plane, angle τ=5-60° in feed plane towards the side opposite feed direction and turn through ρ=1-30° about its lengthwise axis counter clockwise in direction of decrease in cutting blade major rear angle.
EFFECT: higher durability of tool and quality of cutting.
