FIELD: mechanical engineering; compressors and engines.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention, rotary wave engine contains rotor oscillating relative to axial line and installed on crank of shaft rotating on two support units in body. Body is provided with intake and outlet ports, compression and expansion compartments and combustion chamber with fuel nozzles. Body is made cylindrical and it houses sections with spiral spaces accommodating spiral charger enclosed between disks secured on rotor sliding along sections of body at transfer ratio equal to unity. According to one of design versions, engine can be made in form of axial-flow compression and expansion modules whose spiral spaces are made in sections coaxially and are connected by intermediate channels. According to other design version, engine can be made in form of radial compression and expansion modules with section provided, each, with several radially displaced spiral spaces connected by own combustion chambers with autonomous flows of working mixture.
EFFECT: improved power output and reduced overall dimensions of engine.
