FIELD: oil pollution elimination.
SUBSTANCE: invention aims at producing sorbents from vegetable material to be used in cleaning of water reservoirs and industrial wastes to remove various chemical pollutants, in particular, crude oil and petroleum products. Sorbent is obtained by using rice husk and comprises preparing sorbent from rice husk fraction up to 3 mm, which is then subjected to pyrolytic heat treatment at 350-500°C for 10 to 30 min. Remaining amount of rice husk greater than 3 mm is used in preparation of high-purity silicon dioxide. Heat treatment is carried out in reactor blown with gaseous pyrolysis products drawn off therefrom and freed of sooth. In addition, at least part of fraction above 3 mm is ground.
EFFECT: increased sorbent production productivity.
