FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of sorption materials for treatment of waste water containing ions of heavy metals, such as zinc, cadmium, lead and copper. According to the method, a chitosan solution of 3 % acetic acid, then adding powders of milled carbonized threshed millet residue and residual Lemna minor duckweed biomass taken in weight ratio of 1:1. Obtained solution is periodically mixed until uniform, then poured through a granulator into a solution of caustic sodium, the formed granules are held in a solution of caustic soda until complete saponification and formation of granules. Granules are washed with water to neutral pH and dried.
EFFECT: invention increases sorbent capacity and improves its mechanical properties.
