FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cast iron compositions. Proposed cast iron comprises the following components, wt.-%: carbon, 3.2-3.6; silicon, 2.0-2.4; manganese, 0.8-1.2; copper, 0.5-1.0; aluminum, 0.1-0.2; calcium, 0.003-0.007; phosphorus, 0.1-0.2; vanadium, 2.0-2.5; boron, 0.03-0.05; barium nitrides, 0.002-0.004, and iron, the balance. Using the invention provides enhancing the tensile strength value of cast iron.
EFFECT: improved and valuable property of cast iron.
