FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: high voltage switch contains vacuum chamber with immobile and mobile contacts. Vacuum chamber body on the side of immobile contact is connected by a joint to an overhanging support held on support. Upper contact unit of mobile contact contains cylindrical contact with convex contact surface, and corresponding flat contact. Flat contact is mounted with possible movement relatively to cylindrical contact and spring loaded with a contraction spring. In disabled position, contacts of vacuum chamber are disconnected, and between flat contact and cylindrical contact a visible tear is created.

EFFECT: realization of disconnector function by the switch, due to creation of visible contact tear, and also increased reliability in operation with acceptable working resource.
