FIELD: communications; data transfer in communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: receiver system determines current heading threshold and current heading metric and finds out if heading is detected. If it is, receiver finds out if earlier heading was detected during earlier time interval having common time-interval alternating index and takes decision by multiple results of heading detection basing on at least one of following parameters: thresholds of current heading and earlier one; metrics of current heading and earlier one. Receiver detects data following chosen heading and evaluates detected data CRC. If CRC failure is detected, receiver determines new current-heading threshold. New threshold of current heading is higher than old one. If current heading metric is higher than new threshold of current heading, receiver defines CRC failure as true CRC failure, if otherwise, as fictitious CRC failure.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability.
