SUBSTANCE: method for setting up a connection through an access network connects to at least one user terminal and to at least one main network, containing at least a device for authentication and authorization of user terminal, and at least one unit for processing user data, while authentication of connection of user terminal to aforementioned access network is performed and one unit for processing user data is selected from aforementioned at least one user data processing unit based on choice information transferred in signaling message of authentication. Then, by means of signal, information of tunnel parameter of selected user data processing unit is transferred into access network and tunnel connection is created between access network and selected unit for processing user data based on tunnel parameter information. to create tunnel connection based on signaling message between both end points of tunnel, it is possible to create tunnel connection between two network elements, originally unknown to each other. Therefore, mobile services with packet commutation may be accessed through access networks, which do not include context activation procedure or appropriate function for exchanging control plane signals.
EFFECT: possible access from WLAN network or any other access network to broad range of services.
