SUBSTANCE: method for authentication of a client terminal by an authentication server, in which said client terminal has an authentication certificate, involves: obtaining at least one encryption parameter by said client terminal; encryption of the authentication certificate by said client terminal from at least one of the obtained encryption parameters to provide an encrypted authentication certificate; transmission of the encrypted authentication certificate to said server; obtaining at least one said encryption parameter by said server; decoding the encrypted authentication certificate from at least one encryption parameter; authentication and issuing confirmation of authentication if authentication is successful, wherein said method is used in EAP-TLS or EAP-SSL protocols.
